24. ДО І ПІСЛЯ - About project
From August 10 to September 10, the project "24. BEFORE AND AFTER" in the Museum-workshop of I.P. Kavaleridze (Kyiv, Andriivskyi Uzviz, 21) presents the works of young artists 5 - 25 years old from 10 countries of the world and combines two exhibitions - an exposition of the winners of the pre-war IV International Art Festival MAЛЮЙ.UA (DRAW.UA) and participants of the special wartime project MAЛЮЙ.UA.WAR. The project is organized by the Association for the Development of International Relations ADRUM and STUDIORAR under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine and the Kyiv City State Administration. 57 winners of the IV MAЛЮЙ.UA International Art Festival presented their works at the exhibition that opened on February 18 in the Museum-workshop of I.P. Kavaleridze, but was suspended due to the beginning of a full-scale war between Russia and Ukraine. Now these works are again exhibited together with the paintings of 57 participants of the MАЛЮЙ.UA.WAR International Art Festival. The works of young artists from 10 countries of the world from 5 to 25 years of age are presented: Ukraine, Montenegro, Canada, USA, Belgium, Morocco, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Armenia, Serbia. In total, 20 countries from 6 continents are involved in the project. The exhibition vividly reflects the difference between peace and war: bright works of peacetime emphasize the pain and horror of war. In Kyiv, Ukraine from March 5, 2022 the МАЛЮЙ.UA.WAR (DRAW.UA.WAR) International Art Festival presents works by children and adults from different countries about the treacherous war of Russia against Ukraine. The festival has already collected about 400 works from 7 countries - Ukraine, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Canada, Montenegro, Morocco, the geography is expanding. First of all, the festival is held as a kind of art therapy for Ukrainians, children and adults paint works under fire, in bomb shelters, on the way to evacuation. The artistic evidence of the war of the festival participants comes from different parts of Ukraine, including the occupied territories. The works of other countries reflect the global world support for Ukraine. Everyone can take part in the festival, which will last until the end of the war (details are here http://adrum.com.ua/maliuy-ua-war-terms/). The festival is held during the war and doesn’t have any financial support (registration fees, partnerships and sponsorships, etc.) We ask you to donate to the festival to help the psychological rehabilitation of children and adults who suffered from the war in Ukraine, the organization of exhibitions of their works in different countries, as well as the organizers and workers of the festival, who are all time of war in Kyiv.
